Apple will reportedly release two new product lines at the event tonight, namely the Mac Studio and Studio Display.
According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Mac Studio is a new product line that is faster than the Mac Mini but smaller than the Mac Pro. This product targets professionals who need faster performance than the Mac Mini.
Meanwhile Studio Display is a new monitor, but not just a monitor. Because Studio Display is reportedly equipped with A series chips, the same as those in the iPhone and iPad.
The specifications themselves have not been revealed, but it is reported that Apple will provide variants with 5K and 7K resolutions.
Gurman said these two products were ready to be released, which made him pretty sure that both Mac Studio and Studio Display would be released at the event tonight.
But he also mentioned the possibility of another Apple event being held in May or June, perhaps at WWDC 2022, where Apple will launch another Mac device.
Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst who is also another Apple rumor informant, also has similar information. He said Apple would release a faster Mac Mini, which would be accompanied by an Apple Monitor with a relatively affordable price and measuring 27 inches.
It is called affordable because currently the existing Apple monitor is the Apple Pro Display XDR, a monitor with a 6K resolution that costs USD 6000. So the market is relatively small because it is aimed at professionals.
It was previously reported that at an event held on Wednesday (9/3/2022) early in the morning, Apple will release the iPhone SE and iPad Air that have a 5G connection.
