Jake Paul, Youtuber as well as actor and boxer from America, recently received criticism from netizens. This is the aftermath of a controversial joke, related to his fight against Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia.
"Putin is not a boxer and he is almost 3 times your age. So this just sounds like a fight you want," tweeted a netizen in response to Paul's post, as quoted by us from social media, Wednesday (9/3/2022).
The joke was conveyed by Paul on his official social media, which included a banner, with a photo of himself juxtaposed with Putin. The caption reads, "Big news. Tickets on sale next week #PaulPutin".
"I saw memes related to the current situation, but putting a promotion over lives lost is not the right thing to do. But then I realized it was the Paul brothers so no surprises anymore," JarlVarl wrote.
"If he really cared, he should have donated millions to Ukraine," wrote Aron Wills1.
"He (Jake) doesn't know that Putin is a seven-time Sambo champion. Putin can overthrow Jake in just two minutes," MatinSteavis.
"Stop making me mad at you Jake," wrote Clint MacLean.
Even so, the jokes he made did not only attract criticism, but also support from several netizens. There is even a blue tick Instagram account, giving appreciation for the content he made about Paul's match against Putin.

"He doesn't even have his black belt anymore. This is an easy win for Jake Paul," wrote netizens.
Paul is famous for his controversy. He and his brother, Logan Paul, always attract the attention of netizens, through behavior that is quite annoying.
Previously, he had boasted, because he claimed that he had more money than all the wealth of UFC fighters, including Conor McGregor. This comment is a response to the challenge posed by Joge Masdival.
"I make more money than all the UFC fighters, including Conor, put together," he said.
Arrogance is getting higher, when he managed to overthrow Tyron Woodley. Where he said he wanted to fight against Nate Diaz, Masdival, to McGroner. As a boxer, Paul himself has undergone five fights with five wins.
