Marquez Falls in Mandalika Becomes the Most Popular Content on Instagram

 


The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia race at the Mandalika Circuit was enthusiastically welcomed by Indonesian citizens. Not only by spectators who came directly to the circuit, but also by netizens on social media.

Meta as the parent of Facebook and Instagram revealed a row of accounts and content related to the Mandalika MotoGP which is popular on social media. This list was compiled based on data from Crowd Tangle for the period 18-20 March 2022.



From the official statement we received, Wednesday (23/3/2022) content related to the Mandalika MotoGP has flooded Instagram with more than 35 million interactions. One of the most popular content is a video post from the @motogp account which shows the seconds of Marc Marquez from the Repsol Honda team falling at Turn 7 in the warm-up session.

Marquez himself could not take part in the race and was immediately taken to the hospital. The race, which took place on a wet circuit after heavy rain, was won by Miguel Oliviera of Red Bull KTM.
