In early 2022, Samsung introduced its new entry-level smartphone, the Galaxy A03. A number of updates were given from its predecessor.
But does that make this HP interesting to look at? Here's a brief review of the Galaxy A03 after a few weeks of using it for everyday use.
Design
The Samsung Galaxy A03 has body dimensions of 164.2 x 75.9 x 9.1 mm and weighs 196 grams. On the front, the Galaxy A03 screen still carries the Infinity-V notch.
For the back, Samsung gives a polycarbonate finish with a matte finish patterned like a cloth that feels comfortable to hold and is not slippery.
Screen
Feels elongated, the Galaxy A03 has a 6.5-inch diagonal screen with a combination of Infinity-V notch. The screen ratio of the Galaxy A03 is 20:9.
Samsung provides a PLS IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 70 x 1600 pixels, with a color depth of 16M. It is quite comfortable to use to support daily multimedia needs. It's just that, if you are outside during the day, please be patient, because the screen brightness is still limited. From our experience trying, the screen is a bit less clear when viewed.
Performance and Battery
Samsung provides its operating system with an octa-core Unisoc T606 combined with Android 11 and One UI Core 3.1, making the Galaxy A03 smooth for various activities. The unit we reviewed this time with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, and has a microSD slot up to 1TB.
To open a lot of applications up to 20 more is still fairly smooth, just don't compare it to the speed of middle to high phones. To play games with light graphics can run well.
Galaxy A03 is supported by a battery capacity of 5,000 mAh which during the usage experience is very durable. Starting from the needs of streaming, social media, to the use of cameras.
Camera
Galaxy A03 is equipped with a 5MP front camera, and on the back there are two cameras, namely the main 48MP f/1.8 and 2MP f/2.4 depth.
The photos for still objects are quite good when the light supports it. The results are fairly clear, and certain details are still captured well. However, for moving images and at night the quality of the results can not be demanded much. Even though there is a night mode, the details of the results still feel not optimal.
Our opinion
The Samsung Galaxy A03 is smoothly used to meet daily needs from streaming movies, social media, online learning to playing light games.
In appearance, the Galaxy A03 still carries the old style by carrying a 3.5 mm audio jack, micro USB port, and does not yet have a fingerprint sensor. However, with two choices of 3/32GB memory and 4/64GB memory, the Galaxy A03 can be a good choice for those who are looking for a smartphone on a budget.
