Speeding up 150W Fast Charging Technology Made by Realme

Realme is showing off 150W fast charging technology that will be present in the Realme GT Neo 3. How fast is this new technology?

Realme just introduced 150W fast charging technology at the Mobile World Congress 2022 event.

This new technology is claimed to be able to charge as much as 50% in five minutes.

Realme will release this fast charging feature with the Realme GT Neo 3 in the near future. But the phone used for this demonstration is just a concept phone, not a real Realme GT Neo 3.

Charging is still done using the USB Type-C port.

This is the form of a 150W charger made by Realme. It can be seen that this charger is still using the Chinese standard plug.

In a live demonstration, it was seen that the phone battery could increase by 2% in a matter of a few seconds.

To bring this latest fast charging feature, Realme uses the UltraDart Charging Architecture (UDCA) which supports fast charging between 100W to 200W.

This architecture prioritizes security, speed, and while maintaining the quality of the battery going forward.

Realme claims this technology can maintain battery health at 80% after going through 1,000 full charge cycles.

See the 150W fast charging in action once again. Realme says if you want to get optimal charging you have to use the default charger and charge it when the battery remains 1%.
