Telegram is blocked in Brazil for not checking email

Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov revealed the reasons for blocking Telegram in Brazil through his Court's decision. The reason is ridiculous.

In a statement made by Durov via his Telegram channel, Telegram was blocked because they checked the wrong email, we quoted from The Verge.

"It looks like we have a problem with the corporate email addresses of telegram.org and the Brazilian Supreme Court," Durov explained.

According to Durov, requests to remove content from the Brazilian government apparently went into old unchecked email inboxes. In fact, according to him, such a request should be sent to a special email address for content removal.

As a result, the message requesting the removal of content from the Brazilian government was not known by Telegram, which led to the blocking of the messaging service in Brazil.

Previously, the blocking of Telegram in Brazil was linked to allegations that Telegram was used to spread disinformation or misinformation in Brazil. But it turns out that the real problem -- if it's true -- is trivial, though still ridiculous for a company like Telegram.
