The water dragon . What Really Exists?

Myths about dragons are quite unique. If the world knows dragons that emit fire, Indonesian dragons are actually water dragons. Several times the dragon symbol appears on the reliefs of Indonesian temples, although not so much. The question is, is the water dragon believed in Indonesia true? Can its existence be explained scientifically?

The water dragon is actually a mythical creature, so some are spitting fire and so on. But in our belief the dragon can give the four blessings of the East, such as wealth, long life, and virtue.

Mythological animals often become symbols or symbols used by ancient people to convey hope. But scientifically, the animal that is predicted to be the 'water dragon' actually exists.

This animal in Indonesia is only found in the Tanimbar and Papua regions. While abroad, they only exist in northern Australia. The species name is Chlamydosaurus kingil. This little animal when it feels threatened even has a resemblance to the wings of a dragon, where the wings spread out as if to attack with fire.

Fire itself is considered a symbol, that anyone who attacks it can be dangerous. Because Chlamydosaurus kingil has an important role in the food chain.

Chlamydosaurus also has high abilities, one of which can run fast. Another ability, when confronted by the enemy, he can drop into the water and can last a long time, about 10 minutes.

Actually, the myth is related to animal behavior, that this water dragon is actually the top predator in the feed chain system. He is a top predator for small insects.
