Today, there are various machines to make all kinds of drinks, for example a Nespresso machine that can brew coffee using coffee beans in capsule form.
Then there is the brand from Keurig which can do the same thing with more choices because users can buy capsules to make soft drinks.
However, the drink trend requires capsule packaging per drink which can be wasteful and bad for the environment.
A company called Cana has a solution to solve this problem by launching a device called Cana One which they call the world's first molecular beverage printer.
This machine is basically a kind of cartridge like a printer that is equipped with all kinds of flavorings so that the user can make almost any drink they want, from juices, soft drinks, coffee, wine, cocktails and so on. According to the company, the device is based on the concept that many drinks out there are primarily flavored water only.
Cana says that researchers spent years isolating the trace compounds behind taste and aroma, and based on that, they were able to make a wide variety of drinks.
The cartridges in the machine are replaced free of charge and are designed to last about a month, but users have to pay for a potion per drink which ranges from 29 cents to $3.
Users also need to have a sugar container and an alcoholic beverage container as well as a CO2 canister that helps make carbonated drinks.
Quoted from Ubergizmo, Cana One will be priced at USD 499 for the first 10,000 orders but will increase in price to USD 799 after that. It is estimated that this machine will be produced in early 2023.
