Ukrainian Hackers Want To Send Russia To The Stone Age

The battle between Ukraine and Russia is not only in the real world, but also in cyberspace in the form of cyber attacks. Ukraine even claimed to have had hundreds of thousands of hackers to attack Russia.

As quoted by us from CNBC, Thursday (24/3/2022) it was claimed that there were more than 311,000 people who joined the group known as the IT Army of Ukraine. They coordinated via Telegram, among others, discussing the targets of the attacks in Ukraine.

Not all of them are Ukrainians, there are foreign hackers too. One of them calls himself Dave. He said the group had carried out quite a number of attacks on Russia when it was vacant.

The targets are government websites, Russian banks and money changers. "I helped the army by launching DDos attacks," he said. Such attacks aim to flood a website's traffic until it collapses.

"I usually run attacks from 3 to 5 servers and each server usually produces about 50,000 requests per second," said Dave. Attacks are also carried out with the help of bots.

He considered the attacks from many hackers to be quite successful because they were carried out simultaneously by hundreds of thousands of people. "A lot of this kind of action is certainly a success," he claims.

Dave himself and several colleagues work remotely for technology companies in the United States. The company frees its employees to work flexibly. Even two hours of work is also understandable.

"As an IT worker, I hope to serve this country on the digital front, because this war is also happening in cyberspace. I also contacted outsiders to stop dealing with Russia," said Oleksii, an employee of a software company.

On the other hand, Nikita as CEO of a security company, mobilized his employees to attack Russia. They are looking for website security vulnerabilities in Russia. Recently, they managed to collect data on 110,000 credit cards from Russia.

"We want to send Russia into the stone age and we're pretty good at this," Nikita said. He stressed that he doesn't hate all Russians because some of the citizens there are also said to be helping Ukraine
