Xiaomi has released three of its newest flagship phones globally, namely the Xiaomi 12, which was previously released in China.
The three phones are Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12X. There is no Ultra variant, because usually this variant (if any) is released separately.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra was originally said to be released after another Xiaomi 12 series. The specs are top notch and are equipped with a Leica camera. But then it was reported that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra was not released and was replaced by another series.
Xiaomi 12 has the code name L3 while the Xiaomi 12 Pro is codenamed L2. Well, the code name L1 is not for the Xiaomi 12 Ultra as previously thought, but for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 5 Pro, which will reportedly be released this March.

The Xiaomi 12 carries dimensions of 152.7×69.9×8.16mm and weighs 179 grams (skin) and 180 grams (glass). The screen carries a 6.28-inch Full HD + AMOLED panel that offers 1 billion colors and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. It supports 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits of brightness.
The 50 MP main camera on the back carries a 1/5.6 inch Sony IMX766 sensor with 2.0μm pixels, and OIS. Xiaomi pairs it with a 12 MP ultra-wide camera and a 5 MP telemacro.
For the kitchen runway, this cellphone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 combined with LPDDR5 RAM and UFC 3.1 internal memory. To keep it cool, the Xiaomi 12 is equipped with a VC soaking plate cooler with an area of 2,600 mm² combined with 10000mm² graphite. Do not miss the antenna is also given a layer of white graphene.
The Xiaomi 12 battery has a capacity of 4,500 mAh with 67W fast charging that can be fully charged in 39 minutes. The phone supports 50W wireless charging which promises to fully charge the battery in 53 minutes.
The Xiaomi 12 features dual symmetrical speakers tuned to Sound by Harman Kardon which offers clear and natural sound, and is supported by Dolby Atmos.
Xiaomi 12 Pro Specifications
As the name implies, the Xiaomi 12 Pro carries the most capable specifications. The screen is 6.73 inches with 2K resolution and 1.07 billion colors, using an AMOLED LTPO panel from Samsung which features a dynamic refresh rate of 1-120Hz depending on the content being run.
It doesn't stop there, Xiaomi provides support for a maximum brightness level of 1,500 nits, HDR 10+ and Dolby Atmos. To be protected from scratches, Gorilla Glass Victus is provided.
Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with LDDR5 RAM and UFC 3.1 ROM. The cooling system combines 2,900mm² of VC and 3 large heat dissipation graphite sheets, which further enhances cooling performance for stable use, while the antenna area is also coated with white graphene.
The Sony IMX707 50 MP sensor is embedded in the main rear camera. It measures 1/2.8", supports pixel binning with a pixel size of 2.44µm and OIS. Xiaomi has also installed a 50 MP ultra-wide camera with JN1 sensor and a 5-MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom.
This camera is equipped with the CyberFocus feature which has intelligent visual tracking capabilities that can simultaneously identify the eye and the human figure, as well as pets, for stable and accurate focusing. Machine learning algorithms allow the system to quickly analyze features of the subject in focus, even if the shape, angle, or color changes. It offers stable and smooth tracking of moving objects, with just a double tap.
Xiaomi also boasts of a new night mode algorithm that is able to capture more light in dimly lit areas while keeping noise levels under control.
This HP features dual symmetrical speakers that use a frequency division scheme, enabling an exceptional audio experience with high-frequency oomph supported by a customized mid-woofer and tweeter. This speaker is tuned to Sound BY Harmon Kardon with Dolby Atmos support.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro packs a 4,600mAh battery with 120W fast charging that promises to be full in 18 minutes. There is also support for 50W wireless fast charging that fully charges the battery in 42 minutes. Xioami's own Surge P1 charging chip is also installed to help handle power management.
