10 Causes Your WhatsApp Account Is Threatened With Blocking

A WhatsApp account can be blocked by WhatsApp for several reasons. Anything?

Here are some of them that we quoted from Marca, Thursday (14/4/2022):

1. Not using the official app

There are several unofficial versions of WhatsApp that are quite popular, for example WhatsApp Plus. However, WhatsApp did not allow the use of unofficial accounts and several raids including deleting the account using it.

2. Creating too many groups

WhatsApp is reportedly eyeing accounts that create large numbers of groups. However, it is not clear how many are considered suspicious.

3. Abusing broadcasts

It is common to use the broadcast feature, for example to announce something or a certain event. It can also be used as a holiday greeting. But not too often. "Repeated use of broadcast messages may result in others reporting your messages, and we will block accounts that have been reported multiple times," WhatsApp said.

4. Suspicious action

Used by billions of people, of course there are many criminals using WhatsApp. So if it is observed that an account performs suspicious actions, WhatsApp will not hesitate to block it. Even if you can't read messages, WhatsApp has the technology to detect them.

5. Violating the terms of service

"Our Terms of Service prohibit, among other things, publishing fake news and engaging in illegal, threatening, intimidating, hateful, and racially or ethnically offensive behavior," WhatsApp wrote.

6. Sending automated or bulk messages

WhatsApp warns against sending large messages, auto-messaging, or auto-calling using WhatsApp. "WhatsApp uses machine learning technology and user reports to detect and block accounts that send unwanted automated messages," WhatsApp wrote.

7. Retrieving personal information

Avoid extracting information from WhatsApp on a large scale, by using automated or manual features, for any purposes that are not permitted. "Obtaining information from users in this way, including phone numbers, user profile pictures, and statuses from WhatsApp violates our Terms of Service," WhatsApp said.

8. Sending unwanted messages

Don't keep sending messages to a contact if you don't want it. "If a contact asks you to stop messaging them, you should delete the contact from your address book and don't contact them again," WhatsApp warns.

9. Often blocked by others

It is possible that, for one reason or another, another user decides to block the same number or account. For WhatsApp, if too many users are blocked by other users, they can also decide to block them.

10. Too much activity

Don't worry, your daily use of WhatsApp will not put users in danger of being blocked. However, if WhatsApp monitors an account being used intensively in a short period of time, there is a possibility that they will block it.
