Bill Gates Appears Again at TED Talk, Anti-Vaccine Protests Outside

Bill Gates is back at the TED Talk, TED2022 to be exact. The Microsoft founder raised the theme of plans that can be done to prevent the next pandemic. Surprisingly, a number of anti-vaccine demonstrations in front of the event area that took place in Vancouver, Canada.

Quoted from Insider, when asked about the anti-vaccine protests, Gates replied that he found it strange.

"The Gates Foundation is deeply involved in vaccines, new vaccine discovery, vaccine funding, and we are extremely proud that, through a joint effort like Gavi's, it's saved tens of millions of lives," Gates said.

"So it's kind of ironic if someone turns around and says we use vaccines to kill people or make money or we start a pandemic."

Conspiracy theorists 'experts' have targeted Gates during the COVID-19 pandemic, claiming without evidence that he wants to implant microchips to track people via vaccines. One hoax even cites Gates' 2015 TED talk, in which the billionaire predicted a worldwide pandemic would occur, with the narrative as evidence that Bill Gates played a role in creating COVID-19.

Unexpectedly, more than 40% of Republicans in a Yahoo News 2020 poll said they thought Bill Gates wanted to use a COVID-19 vaccine to implant a location-tracking microchip in recipients. Gates also answered about the conspiracy at TED2022.

"I somehow wanted to track down individual locations because I really wanted to know where everyone was. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with that information," he said.

"Hopefully, as the pandemic subsides, people become more rational, (and think) 'Hey, vaccines are miracles and there's a lot more we can do'," Gates said.
