Bill Gates was swept away by Elon Musk's desire to dominate Twitter

Elon Musk suddenly wants to buy all of Twitter's shares worth USD 43.4 billion. Many are enthusiastic, but not all agree that the Tesla and SpaceX leader will rule Twitter. Bill Gates' name was also dragged along.

Some consider Elon Musk's offer too low on Twitter. There are also those who think it is not good if one person has full power on Twitter. Not to mention Elon Musk often performs controversial actions.

But many voices on Twitter support Elon Musk taking over Twitter. Not a few who dragged the name of Bill Gates as a comparison.

"I'm even more worried about Bill Gates buying all the farmland than Elon Musk buying Twitter," wrote one netizen. Bill Gates is indeed listed as the largest agricultural land owner in the United States.

"Wait, so Bill Gates can dictate global public health and Jeff Bezos can dictate the news we hear, but Elon Musk has Twitter considered bad?" call another.

Bill Gates often donates and speaks about global health, including the Corona pandemic. While Jeff Bezos owns the influential media The Washington Post.

"Bill Gates buying all the farmland and dictating health policies worries me more than Elon Musk wants to buy Twitter," wrote another.

"I invested in Twitter because I believe in its potential to be a platform for free speech worldwide, and I believe free speech is a democratic function that society should have," Musk said in a letter he sent to Twitter.

"However, since making the investment I now realize that the company will not grow or serve the needs of society in this form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company," said Elon Musk.
