Don't just play the judge, the choice of giving birth by caesarean section does not reduce the value of a mother!

You may have heard the notion that a woman who gives birth vaginally is considered more powerful than giving birth by caesarean section or c-section. This assumption, which unfortunately is still rooted in society, will only hurt a mother's feelings in the end.

Reporting from The Star, many assume that strong mothers are those who give birth normally, while those who choose caesarean sections are considered weak and do not want to struggle with pain. But in fact, giving birth by caesarean section is the best way for mothers (with certain conditions) on the advice of doctors to save the lives of mothers and babies.

Unfortunately, there are still many primitive understandings of caesarean section which are considered to actually complicate childbirth. Many people judge without knowing the conditions experienced by a woman who is about to give birth.

Why Mothers Have to Give Birth by Caesarean

Reporting from Harpers Bazaar, a cesarean section should be performed if the mother or baby is in a dangerous or emergency condition, the mother's blood pressure is high, the mother is over 35 years old, the baby in the womb is breech (the baby's legs or buttocks are upside down, closer to the birth canal), as well as when the baby is wrapped in the umbilical cord.

Meanwhile, according to Web MD, a mother should undergo a cesarean section if the baby is predicted to be too large to pass through the mother's pelvis, and the previous birth of the baby was also performed by caesarean section.

However, keep in mind that not all women who undergo a caesarean section in their first pregnancy will undergo a similar operation in the birth of their next child. The cause of the previous cesarean section, for example, an emergency, the type of uterine incision, and the condition of the uterus will determine it.

Caesarean section is often considered the 'easiest way'

Not a few who think that caesarean section is the 'easiest way' for pregnant women who want to give birth. In fact, post-natal physical and mental recovery takes a lot of time. Surgical scars also take a long time to disappear from the skin.

Given that a mother will be out of the hospital three to five days after surgery. They are also able to return to their prime for activities within four to six weeks after giving birth, and the pain that is still lingering in the reproductive organs, it seems inappropriate if there are still those who underestimate the mother who gave birth by caesarean section.

So, let's try to understand each other and not judge other women about what way she wants to choose for the birth of her own child. Because every woman has her own struggle and how to handle it.
