Elon Musk is planning to lay off Twitter employees?

How the future of Twitter and its employees in the hands of Elon Musk has been widely predicted. In the latest news, Elon Musk has reportedly considered laying off some Twitter employees.

Previously, Twitter leadership promised that there would be no changes to the company's operations and the fate of employees, at least in the months until Elon Musk completes the Twitter purchase process.

But reportedly, in seeking additional money to buy Twitter, such as borrowing from a bank, Musk expressed the idea of company efficiency, including layoffs.

"While it's uncertain, and Musk himself doesn't have access to Twitter's non-public finances at this time, he did specifically mention job cuts," Bloomberg reports, quoted by us.

Musk financed the purchase of Twitter not entirely with his own money, because cash is limited and his wealth is more in the form of shares. So he approached several parties to raise a total of USD 44 billion.

Elon Musk has already stated his intention to uphold free speech on Twitter. So if it is true that there will be layoffs, it could be that the content moderation team or the like will be one of the targets.

At Tesla, Elon Musk also disbanded the public relations team. It is possible that a similar policy will also be applied to Twitter when he is in control.

Twitter has about 7,000 employees worldwide. So far, the employees seem comfortable there. But since Elon Musk came, anxiety has begun to be felt.

The CEO of Twitter, Parag Agrawal, didn't seem to calm employees down. "When this deal is finished, we don't know which direction this platform is going," he told employees.
