Elon Musk's Warning: Don't Let Putin Rule Ukraine

Elon Musk continues to defend Ukraine. He considered, the world should not let Russia and its president, Vladimir Putin, take over or occupy the Ukrainian state.

According to him, as quoted by us from Business Standard, Friday (1/4/2022) if Russia is allowed to occupy Ukraine, then this behavior could later become an example for other countries to do the same.

A country like the United States according to Musk has done a lot for Ukraine, more than people think.

"But it's not shown to the public. It's important to take it seriously. We can't let Putin take over Russia. This is crazy," said the SpaceX and Tesla boss.

Elon Musk himself through SpaceX has provided Ukrainian citizens with a free internet connection with the Starlink satellite. The internet is also effectively used by the Ukrainian military to operate drones targeting Russian soldiers.

"We thought that Starlink might be needed and we prepared it to make sure it was available quickly. When the request came, we acted very quickly," said Elon Musk.

The Internet in Ukraine has experienced major disruption, even crippling, since the invasion by Russia on February 24. The reason, Russia attacked the telecommunications infrastructure in Ukraine.

"Telecommunications towers have been blown up or blocked with jammers. There is indeed a large fiber cable but the Russians also know about it. It seems they also cut off the fiber network," said Elon Musk.

"This leaves Ukraine with very few internet connections remaining. So Starlink may, indeed in some parts of Ukraine, be the only connection available," added Elon Musk.
