Fun! Soon WhatsApp can be used on 2 cellphones at once

WhatsApp has started rolling out the multi-device feature for beta testers on Android and iOS. They are currently developing a second version of the multi-device feature that allows users to use one WhatsApp account on two phones at the same time.

As is known, with the multi-device feature, WhatsApp users can access their accounts on one cell phone and four devices via WhatsApp Desktop, Web, or Portal independently, even when the phone is off or not connected to the internet.

Now, with the multi-device 2.0 feature, users will be able to access one WhatsApp account on two different phones simultaneously. This is one of the features that WhatsApp users have been waiting for for a long time.

This multi-device 2.0 feature was revealed by WABetaInfo last year and now they are sharing the latest update about its development. From his blog post, WABetaInfo reveals that WhatsApp is developing a page to connect WhatsApp accounts to other phones.

From the screenshot uploaded by WABetaInfo, the page is titled 'Register Device as Companion'. This page will appear when a user tries to open WhatsApp on his second phone.

How to connect a WhatsApp account to a second cellphone is similar to how to connect an account to the Web or Desktop, namely through the Linked Devices feature. Using the first cellphone, the user must scan the QR code on the screen of the second cellphone, as quoted from WABetaInfo, Thursday (28/4/2022).

After scanning the QR code, the WhatsApp account will finish connecting and can be used on the second cellphone. WABetaInfo said that thanks to this feature, users will also be able to connect their WhatsApp account to an Android tablet as a second device.

Currently the feature is still being developed by WhatsApp and is not yet publicly available for beta testers. It is not yet known when this feature will be released to all WhatsApp users.
