The film made by Marvel and Sony Pictures Entertainment, Morbius, finally released on March 30, 2022. If you still remember Venom, well, there are similarities, because Morbius is the new enemy of Spider-Man who can both 'act in his solo film!'
Haven't seen it in theaters yet? Here are some interesting things to know. Read more, come on!
Tragic Experiment Story
This film will tell the character of Michael Morbius as the main character, from the beginning he did experiments to become a bloodsucking vampire. The character, played by Oscar winner Jared Leto, is a scientist who suffers from a rare blood disease.
Obsessed with curing his condition, he experimented which later did save his life. It's just that at the same time turning him into a creature between humans and vampires.
Immune to Onions, Holy Water, and Religious Artifacts
In the new trailer, it is stated that he has superhuman strength, speed, bat radar and the ability to fly. In the comics, he was created in 1971 by Roy Thomas and Gill Kane, and it is explained that Morbius has the ability to recover, high sensitivity and a bit of hypnosis.
Well, since his transformation is due to science rather than the supernatural, don't expect him to be weak to vampires' weakness in general against onions, holy water, and other artifacts. He also uses his fangs and claws when fighting at close range, and uses his hollow bones to glide through the air. It's so cool!
The Bloodsucker
Maybe you are wondering, what are the weaknesses? The answer is blood. Thirst for blood, can affect the physical as well as mental. The 2021 trailer implies he is turbulent with destiny whether to be a hero or an enemy.
Besides Jared Leto, there is Matt Smith, Adria Arjona who starred in the film directed by Daniel Espinosa. Matt will play the antagonist character, and in the comics, he is also encouraged to experiment in order to gain powers similar to Morbius.
So how's it going? This could be your recommendation for the long weekend tomorrow!
