IQAir's 10 Most Air Polluted Countries in the World, Guess which is in order?

 


Air pollution in many countries is still a matter that requires great attention from governments and individuals. To monitor this, IQAir again presents an overview of the state of global air quality during 2021.

As a result, there are some countries with the highest air pollution in the world. This report is based on PM2.5 air quality data from 6,475 cities in 117 countries, regions and territories around the world.


Out of 117 countries, the results show that Indonesia is the most polluted country in Southeast Asia. Another fact states that, compared to other countries in the Southeast Asian region, except for Brunei Darussalam and Timor Leste, Indonesia's air quality is very poor.


Even more surprising, according to IQAir, is that Jakarta is the capital city of the country with the worst air pollution than any other capital city in Southeast Asia. Jakarta is in 12th position with a pollution score of 39.2.
