Last Seen WhatsApp Beta feature can be hidden from certain contacts

WhatsApp started rolling out the emoji reaction feature last week. But it doesn't stop there, it's possible that Meta's instant messaging service will soon implement other new features.

According to a WABetaInfo report, with the release of the latest beta version of the iOS App, WhatsApp has added an option that allows users to limit the number of individuals who can view Last Seen statuses.

As is known, the Last Seen status feature shows the last time the user opened the WhatsApp application. So far we can activate this feature for certain contacts or can choose no one can see last seen.

However, users do not have the ability to prevent specific individuals from knowing the information. In WhatsApp iOS beta version 22.9.0.70 added a new My Contacts Except option under Last Seen section in privacy settings.

Adding individual contacts to the list can prevent users from seeing their Last Seen status. WhatsApp has also implemented more granular privacy controls for both profile photos and the About section.

With WhatsApp beta testing on Android and iOS, this feature is expected to be officially available on WhatsApp in the near future.
