Guess what, are you the one who hopes that your weight (BB) can go down during fasting?

But it is not uncommon for the opposite to happen. Even more weight gain.. Well, you're not alone, really! Check again maybe one or more of these things you actually do.


1. Crazy When Iftar

After fasting for a long time, iftar time is often used as a 'time' for revenge by eating as much as you want. And without paying attention to the type of food, you may subconsciously eat everything, especially those that contain carbohydrates and high sugar content. This is what makes BB go up.


"Unfortunately, many Muslim patients in general, tend to overeat during iftar, and this usually involves fatty, high-calorie and sugary foods," said Dr Al Madani, chairman of the Emirates Diabetes Society, quoted by La Times.



2. Decreased Physical Activity


Maybe by reason of fasting, you reduce to eliminate physical activity. Well, this is what makes the calories when you consume it at iftar and sahur accumulate.


Even though physical activity such as sports while fasting is still recommended, you know! Just choose a not too heavy, yes. Or reduce its duration compared to times other than Ramadan.



3. Go back to sleep after sahur

Not a few people who go back to sleep after sahur. However, this habit turns out to be bad, one of which is increasing weight. Well, on the other hand, you can fill the time after sahur to worship, do light exercise, or clean up your room.



4. Lack of sleep


Lack of sleep duration has nothing to do with weight gain and obesity. This is because of hormonal changes that can trigger hunger.


As for when fasting, it often makes many people sleep less, and some even deliberately hold back sleep at night so they don't miss the time of dawn.
