"Being able to find shows and movies you'll love is so important. We want to continue to make Netflix the easiest place to choose what to watch," said Christine Doig-Cardet, Director of Product Innovation and Personalization Experiences at Netflix, as quoted by The Verge. , Wednesday (13/4/2022).
Previously in 2017 Netflix removed the option of rating content by giving five stars to its users.
Christine believes that with the two thumbs up feature, users can navigate the library of shows and movies on the Netflix app better and easier.
"This is a big part of where we want to invest, providing those mechanisms to give users more control back to help tailor their experience to their personal tastes," said Christine.
The new two thumbs up button can be found next to the like and dislike buttons on Netflix's web, TV, Android and iOS interfaces starting Tuesday (12/4) for all users globally.
