Mark Zuckerberg, CEO and founder of Facebook, was apparently nicknamed the Eye of Sauron or Eye of Sauron by some of his employees. But the nickname did not make him feel offended, on the contrary.
As is known, Sauron's giant eyes appear in The Lord of the Rings stories, which watch in all directions. The figure of Sauron himself is the antagonist in the story and his eyes are also terrible.
However, Zuckerberg does not see the nickname from the negative side. He thinks the employees of Meta, Facebook's parent, call it that for other reasons, not because they hate it.
"Sometimes they compare my level of attention as the Eye of Sauron. They are like saying that you have an endless amount of energy to do something," Zuk was quoted as saying by Futurism.
Maybe Mark Zuckerberg is working hard to promote the world of the metaverse, where he has a vision that in the future a lot of people will be in this virtual world wearing headsets.
Even in his latest rebranding process, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg changed the designation of Facebook employees. If previously Facebook employees were known as 'Facebookers', now after changing their name to Meta their nickname has changed to 'Metamates'.
Not only changing the designation of employees, Zuckerberg also changed the order of importance in the company. Employees must prioritize the company (Meta), followed by colleagues (metamates), and finally the individual (me).
In an internal company meeting, Mark Zuckerberg also said that Meta is now carrying 'Move fast together' as the company's slogan. Previously they used the legendary 'Move fast and break things' slogan, before changing it to 'Move fast'.
