Because of their love of helping people live healthier lives, they began researching the secrets behind the world's longest-living people.

Specifically, they studied six people living over the age of 100. They found that things like diet, physical activity, stress levels, and socioeconomic status played a role in how long people lived.

The oldest person on this list and in recorded history is Jeanne Louise Calment, who lived to be 122 years old and is the only person to live past 120 years. So, what is the secret to the longevity of the oldest person in the world?

The Secret to Longevity of the World's Oldest People

Apparently, one of the secrets to the longevity of the oldest person in the world is in the food they eat.

Jeanne Louise Calment was quite a mysterious figure when she was alive even when she died. In 1997 he died at the age of 122, and when asked about the secret to his long life, he replied that it was in the foods he ate, namely chocolate, red wine and olive oil.

This isn't too surprising, especially when you see how many hundred year olds living in the Blue Zone consume the same things, namely red wine and olive oil. The Blue Zone itself is an area in the world with a population concentration of more than 100 years.

Launching from Insider, a study found that the fat in olive oil can activate pathways in cells that are linked to a longer life span. In addition, olive oil also has various health benefits, such as helping to regulate weight, lower blood pressure, reduce inflammation, and help lower the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Red wine and dark chocolate have also been found to contain antioxidants that can contribute to health. However, it is better when consumed in moderation, yes!

Not only the food consumed, one of the secrets of Calment's longevity is in his lifestyle. During his 122 years of life, Calment is known to have lower stress levels than the average person because he has never worked full time.

Since he doesn't have to work all the time, he can consistently enjoy hobbies like tennis, swimming, playing the piano, and cycling.

So, why is the life of Jeanne Louise Calment so mysterious? According to a theory put forward by researchers in Moscow, Calment may actually have died at a much earlier age than previously believed. Because no one can be sure, so the mystery still continues.

But regardless of what you believe about the "world's oldest person," you can still learn some valuable lessons. For example, adopting a healthy lifestyle, eating nutritious food, and doing positive things that bring happiness.
