The World's Richest Man Abandoned by His Boyfriend Because He Lives in a Rented

Elon Musk, the world's richest man, seems to actually be living in a rented tenement, after having had some doubts about the news. His ex-girlfriend, singer Grimes, confirmed it.

Elon Musk and Grimes have separated after having two children. In an interview with Vanity Vair, Grimes apparently can't stand Elon Musk choosing to live in a rented apartment, despite his deprived lifestyle.

In fact, Elon Musk thanks to the success of his companies, Tesla and SpaceX, is the world's richest man with assets estimated at around USD 230 billion.

Elon Musk made the news for selling his entire luxury home and admitting to living in a simple portable rental made by a startup called Boxabl. The house costs around $50,000 and is near SpaceX's Texas headquarters.

Grimes revealed that they had not lived together for a long time because Elon Musk insisted on living in a very simple house. Grimes considered the residence unsafe and neighbors could easily observe their lives.

"Bro (Elon Musk) does not live like a billionaire. Bro his life is sometimes below the poverty line," said Grimes quoted us from the Daily Mail.

"It got to the point where I was like, can I not live in that very unsafe house? The neighbors could record us and there was no security and I ate peanut butter for eight days straight," she added.

Grimes reveals that much of Elon's wealth has been spent on the SpaceX spacecraft project to go to Mars. Elon Musk has set a target to land on the Red Planet within 4 years.

"The Mars project is tough. There is no income from it. There is no way to make money from it. His Mars project is for mankind and it is dangerous and expensive and people say, he is hoarding money. No, he spends it all on research and development," said Grimes

As reported, last November, Elon Musk can be officially called a 'bum'. Because the last house he had had already been sold. Thus, the SpaceX and Tesla boss has absolutely no home of his own.

He previously said he was happy to live in the rented house, which is a portable house near SpaceX's headquarters in Texas. "My main residence is literally a $50,000 house in Boca Chica, which I rented from SpaceX. This house is awesome," he wrote on Twitter.

"Right now I don't own anything else. In fact, I basically own almost nothing with monetary value, other than shares in companies. If the situation is intense at work, I like to sleep in factories or offices. Of course. I need a place for the kids. So I'm going to rent a place," said Elon in a separate interview.

A report in the Wall Street Journal later said that Elon Musk did not actually rent a simple house as he claimed, but lived in a luxurious mansion owned by a friend.

Not only that, Musk is said to be currently actively looking for a house with the help of several real estate agents. Elon Musk, who has sold his entire luxury home, has denied the news.

"This WSJ article is wrong. I don't live there and I'm not looking for a home anywhere," Elon Musk argued.

Elon Musk's friend, Ken Howery who is the founder of PayPal, also rebutted. "He doesn't live at my place, he lives in South Texas. When he traveled to Austin, he was at my house as a guest," Howery explained.
