The Linking Device feature on WhatsApp is undeniably convenient for many people. With a WhatsApp number, then it can be used on a computer or tablet. But this multi-device function cannot be used on two smartphones.
WhatsApp was previously seen testing the one -number usage feature on 10 phones, but it is for WhatsApp Business and will likely have a subscription plan. Recently, WABetaInfo revealed that WhatsApp is also testing the ability to register a second smartphone as a device that can also use WhatsApp with the same number.
The method looks similar to the use of linked devices, where the primary device has to scan the QR code available on the second device to sync the WhatsApp account. Quite strange with WhatsApp which is slow as well as difficult to provide this feature. While Telegram can only support one account/number used on many devices.
This feature is currently still in early development, not sure yet when it will be offered.
