On the SoundCloud music platform, users can see comments scattered throughout the song. This becomes useful because there may be certain parts of the song that are liked and viewers leave comments.
So that the creator and other users who are listening to the song can also read it.
Well, YouTube is also reportedly testing a similar feature but in the form of reactions using emojis which are still in beta.
It's basically the same as timed comments, except for users who don't want to leave a comment they can simply leave a reaction in the form of an emoji instead.
This reaction feature is similar to what Facebook has done for its platform, allowing users to react to posts without words if they don't really know what to say.
"If you watch a video that is part of this experiment, you can react and see how people react by going to the comments section of the video and tapping the reaction panel," YouTube wrote as quoted by us from Ubergizmo, Monday (4/4/2022).
Reactions will be anonymous which means no one will know that it was you who left the emoji reaction at that point in a video. This will help those who are watching the video and may want to move to a more interesting section quickly and easily.
