The four astronauts managed to land back on Earth after serving half a year on the International Space Station (ISS).

Using SpaceX's dragon capsule named Endurance, the space explorers took off from the ISS on Thursday (5/5) at 01.20 midnight until landing in the Gulf of Mexico, Florida, USA, on Friday (6/5) at 00:43 midnight.

This means that the astronauts who are part of the Crew-3 mission must travel back and forth within 23 hours.

Meanwhile, Maurer is also on ESA's "Cosmic Kiss" mission, which includes 35 European experiments ranging from human health to materials science, which benefit life on Earth and the future of space exploration.
