99.3% Of 3G Networks Closed In Malaysia - Balance To Be Closed By December 2022

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) now shares that almost 86.6% of the 1.8 million 3G customers have switched to 4G networks so far, and the rest have been notified of the network termination - but no further action by customers.

In parallel, SKMM said that 99.3% of 3G networks have been terminated by the end of the first quarter of 2022.

Currently, about 0.7% of the network is still operational, and is located in rural areas. MCMC says it will be operational, and will be closed by December 2022.
