Axiata now shared that Celcom will try to complete the negotiation process with Digital Nasional Berhad for the implementation of 5G in Malaysia, by the deadline, June 30, 2022.
The government had previously set a June 30 date to finalize the consultation process with the DNB, and further focused on the introduction of a full 5G network.
Currently, the identification process is not fully focused as various major telcos have yet to finalize the consultation process with DNB.
Last time, it was reported that Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile wanted a majority stake in DNB - but the request was rejected by the Finance Ministry.
Currently, the negotiation process between the telecommunications company and DNB is still ongoing - including involving the value of equity offered, as well as the price for the services.
