Facebook is now seen to be rolling out some location-based features on their platform-starting with the “Nearby Friends” or “Nearby Friends” feature.
Facebook is seen to have started sending notifications to users, saying the feature will be discontinued on May 31, 2022.
This feature was previously introduced to make it easier for you to know the location of current and nearby friends-as well as be able to connect to meet them.
In addition to this feature, Facebook is also expected to remove the "Weather Alerts", "Location History" and "Background Location" features on their application.
