Google just launched the Pixel 6a and Pixel Buds Pro at last night's Google I/O event. Not only that, they also shared teasers for a series of their new products that will be coming in the near future.
First there is the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro which will be launched in the fall of this year. Both will come with the new generation Tensor chipset and run the Android 13 operating system.
Google only shows the back and it looks a stark difference when compared to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Although the Pixel 6 series 'visor' design is still used, the camera bar on the Pixel 7 series this time uses polished aluminum material.
This aluminum bar looks to blend with the side of the phone. From the renders shown, Google seems to be abandoning the two-tone color design for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
The Pixel 7 will still have dual rear cameras, and the Pixel 7 Pro will have triple rear cameras. It looks like the camera configuration for the Pixel 7 Pro is still the same as last year, namely wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto.
The Pixel 7 will be available in Obsidian, Snow, and Lemongrass colors. While the Pixel 7 Pro will be available in Obsidian, Snow, and Hazel colors.
Switch to the Pixel Watch which will be the first smartwatch from Google. The Pixel Watch has a rounded design that curves slightly above it. On the side there is a crown and a button for navigation.
Given that the prototype of this watch was leaked, the design that Google showed off is not surprising. This smartwatch will run Wear OS 3 which will bring Google's default applications such as Maps, Assistant, Wallet and Home.
The Pixel Watch will also be integrated with Fitbit. This means that users will be able to access Fitbit features such as heart rate monitors, sleep tracking, and Active Zone Minutes. This watch will use all of Fitbit's latest algorithms for health and sports.
The Google Pixel Watch will launch alongside the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro this fall. The price of the Pixel Watch is still a mystery, and Google only says this smartwatch will be a premium priced product.
Finally, there is the new Google Pixel Tablet that will be launched next year. This is the most surprising product considering that there have been no previous leaks about the Pixel Tablet, especially since Google has also been absent from the tablet market for a long time.
Just like its line of phones, the Pixel Tablet will also be equipped with the latest Tensor chip and is designed to complement the Pixel phones. This tablet has fairly thick bezels on all four sides, with one front camera and one rear camera.
