Google Translate Now Supports 24 More Languages Including Sanskrit

Google Translate was launched in 2006 as the easiest way to understand millions of websites in languages users may not know. It comes automatically with Chrome and at this morning’s Google I/O event Translate added support for 24 more new languages.

Among the new languages supported are Sanskrit and several North American indigenous languages. According to Google, as many as 300 million individuals globally use these 24 added languages. This brings increased support for Translate to 133 languages in total. Support for these new languages will be provided in stages starting May 11 to all global users.
