iPhone 14 Pro May Support ProMotion 1Hz-120Hz And Always-On Display

Ever since before the iPhone 13 Pro was launched again, there have been rumors that Apple will likely include refresh rate support and an always-live Always-On Display screen feature. However, when it was launched only ProMotion support was included which is an adaptive high refresh rate.

The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max use a screen with an LTPO panel to support this adaptive refresh rate. But this ProMotion is not like the high refresh rate on Android, it only supports 10Hz to 120Hz as opposed to 1Hz to 120Hz.

Renowned analyst Ross Young expects that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will likely eventually support the adaptive 1Hz to 120Hz ProMotion. In addition, with this new support it can also support the Always-On Display feature that allows the screen to always display the time, date, battery status and notifications.

Always-On Display support on Apple products so far is limited to the Apple Watch which also uses an LTPO screen. Not sure yet whether Apple will include this feature on the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro. Together we look forward.
