Apple stopped sales of iPods that have been on offer for the past 21 years on May 11th. After being discontinued, many began buying iPods to make sure they didn’t miss out on buying a product that changed Apple’s fortunes two decades ago. After a few weeks, Apple Malaysia site no longer lists iPods for sale.
The link to the product we previously accessed no longer displays the iPod and says the site no longer exists. What is happening in Malaysia is also beginning to be reported by users of other markets such as the UK, U.S. and Japan.
Since its launch over 450 million iPods have been successfully sold. It saved the music industry from piracy and became the reason why the iPhone exists today. Goodbye iPod.
