We are now in a world where our digital data can be stolen or locked at an
y time, and encryption systems are seen to have to compete with the needs of these users.
With that, Kingston has launched IronKey Vault Privacy 80, which is an external SSD storage that comes with a content encryption system built directly into the SSD. What differentiates this IronKey Vault Privacy 80 storage from other storage is that it is equipped with a built -in touch screen that allows users to unlock this storage with a word or passphrase.
IronKey Vault Privacy 80 is also equipped with a FIPS 197 encryption system that helps in curbing hacking attacks from outside, especially those who use BadUSB accessories. Its use is also quite simple, and users can set a passphrase such as a sentence, word or even use a pin number, depending on the user’s convenience.
This storage comes in 480GB, 960GB and 1920GB options and has data read and write speeds as fast as 250MB/s.
For now, the launch date as well as the price tag of this storage is still unknown.
