Maybe you've heard of the prohibition against hitting the 'dangerous triangle' area of the face. This information had gone viral and caused a stir because many people previously did not understand this. They also become afraid of the risks that threaten if they violate these rules.
Launching IFL Science, here are facts about the 'deadly face triangle' that you need to know.
1. What is the 'Dangerous Triangle'
The dangerous triangle or the deadly triangle is in the nose area to the right and left corners of the lips. This area when described in the form of a triangle.
Here, the ophthalmic vein connects the veins at the front of the face to an empty space under the brain called the cavernous sinus. Therefore, rubbing pimples or flesh growing in this area can be fatal. The impact can cause serious infections.
2. Why Not Be Careless with the Dangerous Triangle
For example, say you have a pimple in that area and then try to squeeze it. Pimples that are not ready to make room on the face can sometimes get deeper if you squeeze them, this can increase the capacity of the infection to spread.
If pathogens start to spread within the dangerous triangle of the face, they can hitch a ride through the blood vessels of the eye to the cavernous sinus and even to the brain. This can lead to potentially fatal conditions such as a blood clot in the cavernous sinus, a brain abscess, or meningitis.
3. What to Avoid in the Dangerous Triangle Area
The death triangle area should be well guarded. Avoid squeezing pimples in the area, don't pluck nose hairs carelessly, keep your teeth healthy because abscesses or swelling in the gums can pose a wider danger of infection.
