Netizens Debate Real Madrid Just Lucky Or Not

Real Madrid won the Champions League for the umpteenth time after beating Liverpool 1-0. The timeline has become quite busy discussing whether Madrid is blessed with luck or not.

Understandably in last night's final, Liverpool practically controlled the game and shot more at goal. The glories of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois also made a difference.

In previous matches such as against Manchester City in the semifinals, Madrid also won dramatically. Indeed, Madrid's success cannot be separated from an effective way of playing and has really become their hallmark this season. Carlo Ancelotti's squad did not have much possession of the ball, but could maximize a little of what they had.

"The fact that Real Madrid can be dominated for 90 minutes and somehow find a way to score a goal scares me. I've never seen this level of luck in my life," wrote netizen @Waspapping on Twitter.

"Hopefully we can be as lucky as Real Madrid in our daily lives and activities," said another netizen.

"Real Madrid won the Champions League this time again proving that it's not the best team that always wins, but the most persistent and lucky," said another.

But not a few who call Madrid is great, not lucky. "People say Madrid is a lucky club and there is black magic, but this is the mentality of the club that must be learned. They never lose until the last whistle," wrote @stonedbatxx.

"Real Madrid are not a lucky team, they really are the best."

"Well done Real Madrid and finally, you have to earn respect and not be called lucky. The Premier League is the best in the world but Madrid beat the top 3 teams and also PSG, it's a tough road to win trophies," said another netizen.

Whatever it is, Real Madrid is the king of Europe. The 14-time Champions League winner is getting harder to catch up with other big teams.
