Nokia CEO Aims To Use 6G By 2030 - But Not Through Smartphones

Nokia's CEO is now targeting the 6G network to be available to general users by 2030, which is about 8 years from now. Anyway, interesting also regarding his partnership is that people are expected to access it with different devices instead of via smartphones like today.

With faster internet networks, 6G is expected to lead to interaction through devices such as smart glasses and so on that are worn directly on the face - thus further facilitating the interaction process.

Nokia’s CEO also targeted that at that point, we would start wearing various connected devices on the body to interact directly - rather than via smartphones as it is today.

Various companies today have begun the process of developing their own wearable devices and smart glasses, including Meta, Apple, Google and even Microsoft. Completing this is also each making a high investment in the augmented reality arena in addition to smart virtual assistants.

With the speed achieved through 5G today, maybe it will be the driving force before we move on to post -telephone devices after this via 6G. Together we look forward to what will happen in the next decade.
