The use of liquid cooling systems on graphics cards is nothing new. Although it looks a bit tedious to install, generally everyone agrees that it makes the build of your computer more beautiful while being able to dissipate heat from the components of your graphics card more efficiently.
NVIDIA announced that they will start selling the NVIDIA A100 graphics card model for their data center along with a built-in liquid cooler starting later this year. According to NVIDIA, the A100 model with this liquid cooling provides some additional benefits compared to the model that uses air conditioning.
First, it is seen that the use of an NVIDIA A100 graphics card with this cooling system will reduce space consumption, as it only consumes one PCIe expansion slot compared to two on a graphics card that uses a charging block with a fan.
The use of liquid cooling systems is also seen to reduce total power consumption by 30 percent compared to traditional cooling systems. NVIDIA says that they have started testing the use of the A100 graphics card with this liquid cooling system to a number of specific clients, and are expected to start selling it more widely by the end of this year.
