Among our favorite soundbars last year was the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) which despite its small size was able to offer a more vibrant audio experience compared to the larger -sized soundbar. Now Sonos will launch a new soundbar that is more compact and at a more affordable price.
The official design and mock -up image of Sonos Ray leaked to the web arena by SnoopyTech shows it looks like a Beam but is now placed sideways. The audio lattice hole is located at the front with three touch control buttons placed at the top. The mocking image confirms Ray will be offered in black and white.
There are screw holes in the back to attach it to the wall if necessary. Connection to other devices is optical only as it is not equipped with any HDMI port. According to a report by The Verge, Ray will support the Dolby Atmos system. The selling price is around $ 250 (~ RM1100) which is more affordable than the Beam which is sold at RM2699 in Malaysia.
