The Exynos 2200 which is supposed to be a stepping stone to Samsung offers a powerful chip for their release smartphones. But in the real world it’s a chip that not only can’t compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 but also falls short against the Dimensity 9000. Adding to the misfortune for Samsung, devices with the Exynos 2200 have a host of problems.
Now there are rumors from Korea saying the Exynos chip will not be used directly on the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Samsung Galaxy S24. In the next two years, Samsung will return to the design table to produce an Exynos chip that will eventually be designed specifically for the Galaxy series as we’ve reported before.
The steps taken are drastic, but the Exynos chip has received less response from consumers. Every year, consumers in Malaysia complain because models with Exynos are offered. When the S22 series used Snapdragon this year, many cheered because this is what they have wanted all this time.
