Samsung Reportedly Will Reduce Phone Production This Year Than Planned

Samsung, the world’s largest phone maker is now reportedly looking to cut phone production this year compared to initial plans.

According to initial plans, Samsung aims to produce 310 million phones in 2022. However, now Samsung is expected to reduce production by around 30 million units, making them produce around 280 million units of phones alone in 2022.

Among the reasons for this reduction in production include in terms of inflation occurring around the world which affects spending on new products. In addition, the shortage of chips and other component production also has an impact on this annual production target.

According to preliminary data for the first quarter of 2022, the overall smartphone market is seen to have decreased by 11% compared to before.
