It is difficult to get a Sony PlayStation 5 console in Malaysia now. Although it has been two years since its launch, it can rarely be bought on the open market with it being sold at exorbitant prices in the tertiary market. Due to supply chain issues, PS5 sales in the second year were lower than the PS4 in the second year.
Sony is aware of this issue and is determined to increase production of the PS5 to solve the issue of consumers finding it difficult to buy. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan said Sony will increase PS5 manufacturers to a level they have never done before.
He also said that Sony will also focus on producing more games on PC platforms and mobile devices in the future. As many as 2/3 of the games Sony launched this year are for PS4 and PS5 consoles. The remaining 1/3 is on PCs and mobile devices.
