Elon Musk warned Twitter users that they were being 'manipulated' and advised them to disable the Feed algorithm provided by the social media company's iconic blue bird.

1. Press the Home button

Musk's tweet about this algorithm seems to invite pros and cons. One of them is the founder of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, who seems offended by the idea of the boss of SpaceX and Tesla.
Dorsey says the feed algorithm is designed for people who don't obsessively check Twitter. In a later reply to another user, Dorsey acknowledged that the algorithm could have "unintended consequences", but maintained that it was not designed to manipulate users.
Realizing his tweet had sparked an uproar, Musk later tweeted that he didn't say the algorithm was meant to be manipulated. By guessing what they want to read it can manipulate the user without realizing it.
"Not to mention the potential for bugs in the code. Open source is a way to break trust and efficacy," he concluded.
