This is new evidence that Apple made a folding screen iPhone

The news that Apple is working on a folding iPhone or iPad device shows the truth. There is new evidence that corroborates the rumors.

Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that Apple is currently testing electronic paper display (EPD) technology that could potentially be implemented on iPad and iPhone folding screens in the future.

In a tweet on his Twitter account, Kuo estimates that the Cupertino-based tech giant is developing prototypes of folding screen devices, including one with a secondary display like the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Kuo added that e-ink might be used on the outer panel. The secondary display will use e-ink technology because it saves power.

Apple can use e-ink on the cover screen to display notifications, updates, and more, while making the battery last longer.

According to a GSM Arena report, the likely supplier of the panels is Taiwan's E Ink Corporation. They are one of the largest makers of electronic ink displays and are a major supplier to Amazon's Kindle line.

The company also makes colored e-ink panels, which is the type Apple is allegedly interested in.

For information, there have been rumors that Apple is working on a foldable device with an 8-inch screen that will be released sometime in 2023. In terms of display specifications, this device will be in the middle between the iPhone and iPad.

According to Kuo, Apple's foldable device roadmap will initially concentrate on mid-sized smartphones. Then switch to devices with bigger screens, and finally move to smaller devices like the iPhone.
