Wait, yes! PS5 Predicted To Be Rare Until 2024

Sony recently launched a report titled Business Segment Briefing for 2022. They predict that the PS5 shortage will occur until 2024.

Since its release in November 2020, its presence has indeed been able to attract the interest of many gamers to be able to bring it. But unfortunately, Sony has not been able to supply this console more, in an effort to meet the demands of fans.

From the data presented, Sony has made efforts so that this problem can be resolved. Including looking for sources of spare parts suppliers from several vendors, reported by us from IGN Southeast Asia, Monday (30/5/2022).

They reveal that demand for the PS5 system itself, is at an all-time high. According to him, retailers in the United States (US), sell 1,000 next-gen consoles in a matter of minutes. Where that means, the demand exceeds the existing supply.

Actually there are various reasons for making the PS5 rare. But the ongoing worldwide shortage of chips, is the main problem at the moment. In fact it had a huge impact on all electronics industry including graphics cards.

Patrick P Gelsinger, CEO of Intel, also has a similar opinion with Sony. Given the situation, he said it would not improve until 2024.

However, the video game giant hopes to close the sales gap between PS4 and PS5 soon. Judging from its latest report, PlayStation sold 3.1 million next-gen units less than its sibling, in the same period after launch.

A little information, that Sony itself only took 82 minutes to sell 80 thousand PS5 units. Meanwhile, they have to spend up to nine days to be able to sell PS4 units with a similar number.

Despite all that, gamers can actually still own a PS5 from retailers. However, the selling price offered is unreasonable and more expensive.
