3 Myths of Parallel Planetary Phenomena, Disaster Predictions to Doomsday

The beautiful June 24 parallel planet phenomenon has caught the attention of astronomers. But apparently, in dark times, this phenomenon was considered a bad omen for several centuries.

Some call this phenomenon a prediction of disaster, even a sign that the apocalypse is near. The following are a number of myths about parallel planetary phenomena, summarized by us from various sources, Friday (6/24/2022).

1. Disaster forecast

Since its discovery, the phenomenon of parallel planets has often been associated with unique events and other disasters associated with the apocalypse or the end of the world.

Nostradamus, the famous prophecy author from France, said that the parallel planet phenomenon was a sign of an imminent earthquake in California, a city at risk of natural disasters due to the existence of the "San Andreas Fault".

The prophecy explains that a very powerful earthquake will occur in May. At that time the hail will fall bigger than an egg. According to his predictions, this tragedy will occur on May 28, 2015. However, nothing happened on that date and year.

2. The end is near

One of the most well-known myths about the staggering parallel planet phenomenon was in 2012, when the world predicted that December 21 of that year would be the Day of Judgment.

According to the ancient Mayan calendar, this date will mark the last day of mankind. And in that year, Mars was seen rising from the west, but Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, Uranus, and Neptune in the East, and this was a rare alignment.

Later, the Caribbean Astronomical Society (SAC) said that this fear was caused by an ancient myth that the next planetary alignment would occur in 2040.

3. Big waves and tsunamis

The ancient people believed that the occurrence of this parallel planet would cause an impact such as a big wave, and even a tsunami would occur. Of course, just hearing all the predictions, it made goosebumps and felt scared.

To note, the gravitational pull of all the planets can indeed have an impact on the tides on Earth. However, the phenomenon of parallel planets is harmless. Venus' distance from Earth has the greatest impact on tidal forces, although only by a fraction compared to the Moon. The spacecraft can also feel the minuscule force when the planet's gravity pulls on it.

Everything that happens must be by God's will, so there is no need to be too afraid when you hear about parallel planetary phenomena and their effects.

Scientifically, according to NASA, this is a natural event. In 2013, the US space agency said there would be no parallel planetary events in the next few decades. Even if it did, the impact of this planetary alignment on Earth would be harmless.

"The great parallel planet phenomenon occurred in 1962 for example, and two others occurred in 1982 and 2000. Every December, the Earth and the Sun align with the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, and this is an annual event that does not harm the Earth," he said.
