OPPO continues to develop various innovations for the OPPO Find series. One of them is OPPO Find X5 Pro 5G, the latest OPPO flagship cellphone that carries the best camera technology as a result of collaboration between OPPO and the well-known camera manufacturer Hasselblad.
Hasselblad itself is a camera brand that is favored by photographers because of its ability to produce very detailed images while maintaining image quality.
This is what later became one of the attractions of the OPPO flagship cellphone. The collaboration between OPPO and Hasselblad has succeeded in creating a smartphone camera that is capable of reproducing the Hasselblad-style photography experience and producing high-quality photos.
It is known, in addition to the undoubted image quality, Hasselblad previously has a number of interesting facts to know. Curious about anything? Reported from techpp the following review.
1. Unplanned Success
Currently Hasselblad is indeed one of the most expensive premium camera brands ever. You may not believe it, but the founder of Hasselblad himself never thought that his brand could bring in huge profits.
Arvid Viktor inherited Hasselblad from his father, Fritz Wiktor Hasselblad. He also used the company to channel his passion for photography, and never once thought this hobby could bring him money. In one of his statements, Arvid admitted that he never expected Hasselblad to become the most expensive and most iconic camera brand as it is today.
2. Assets in World War II
From the very beginning, the Hasselblad camera was designed to create a breakthrough in the history of photography, and it started on the battlefield.
During World War II, Arvid Viktor produced the HK7 Hasselblad which was famously used as a combat asset by the Swedish Air Force for aerial surveillance. The Hasselblad's performance on the battlefield continued to the SKa4 model which later became a permanent component of the aircraft at that time.
The crucial role of the Hasselblad camera for the Swedish combat force is what helped raise the popularity of the camera brand.
3. Photographing the Moon on the Apollo 11 Mission
The Hasselblad's tough performance on the battlefield caught the attention of NASA, which was looking for camera technology that could withstand extreme climates and pressures and accurately document conditions in space.
The 500 EL camera, also known as the Hasselblad Electric Camera (HEC) was later used on the Apollo 11 mission to photograph the lunar surface. Interestingly, HEC along with 11 other Hasselblad cameras used in NASA's space missions are still residing on the lunar surface.
4. Photographing The Beatles' 'Abbey Road' Album Cover
Music lovers are certainly familiar with the cover of The Beatles' Abbey Road album. The photo of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr walking across the zebra crossing on Abbey Road is one of the most iconic covers ever in world music history.
This photo was taken using a Hasselblad 500C camera by Scottish photographer Iain Stewart Macmillan. Meanwhile, the idea and concept for the photo itself came from Paul McCartney.
5. Only Produced 10,000 Units per Year
Not only does it have the status of a premium and most expensive camera model, Hasselblad is also known as a very exclusive camera brand. This is because the company only produces 10,000 units of cameras each year.
Apart from the high wages of workers in Sweden, this is also done to maintain the quality and characteristics of the Hasselblad camera as a work of human hands, not factory machines. To this day, Hasselblad still maintains this habit and manufactures his cameras in a small three-story building in Gothenburg, Sweden.
