Allo, a subsidiary of an internet service provider under the auspices of Tenaga Nasional Berhad has recently been seen to have said that they will supply high-speed fiber optic internet connection to 300,000 premises in Peninsular Malaysia by the end of this year.
Allo previously started offering internet services in Melaka has expanded their services to various other states, including Perak, Kedah, Penang, Selangor, Johor and has now successfully connected more than 180 thousand premises with internet connection.
Apart from offering their own internet services, Allo also said that internet service providers could use their fiber optic infrastructure to supply more premises with fast internet connections, similar to what Telekom Malaysia does with several other local telecommunications companies.
CEO Allo, Ir. Mohamed Ghous Ahmad said that with the existing Tenaga Nasional infrastructure throughout Peninsular Malaysia, they are expected to be able to further expand the fiber optic infrastructure in additional locations at a much lower cost compared to what other companies are doing.
This cost reduction is also expected to enable the company to offer high -speed internet connection at a more affordable price, in line with the goals of the JENDELA initiative.
